Titus Bluegrass Festival

If you enjoy listening to bluegrass, old-time country and gospel music; are a picker that loves a good jam session; or prefer a down-home, small town, family-orientated atmosphere, then mark September 29 on your calendar. You can find all of this and more at the Titus Bluegrass Festival at the Titus Community Center.
Visitors will be entertained by several bluegrass bands, and also have a chance to browse arts and crafts booths and purchase lunch. In addition, attendees can buy event T-shirts and cookbooks.
The family event features a schedule of continuous music that runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. There will be lots of food, crafts and an antique car display, so grab your lawn chair and come on out!
Proceeds from the festival are used for continued restoration and improvements to the Titus Community Center. “The center sees a good bit of use. It’s where we have quarterly potluck suppers and community meetings,” said Tom Hinton, the festival organizer. “We’ve made a lot of improvements over the past several years. We’ve put a new roof on the center, and also maintain and manicure the grounds.”
Admission is $5.00 for adults and children under 12 get in free.
